Probanx delivers an innovative solution to West Africa’s Global Bank

Probanx are please to announce the ground breaking deployment of CorePlus at Global Bank, Monrovia, Liberia. It took just 5 weeks from the receipt of order for Probanx, in conjunction with Netcom Liberia, to implement their class-leading CorePlus retail banking system.

Global Bank’s prestigious headquarters were being refurbished to western standards as part of their mission to become the most modern bank in West Africa. This included the deployment of new IT and banking systems in order to benefit from the latest technology and provide clients with the best possible service.

IT partner Netcom Liberia had devised the innovative approach of hosting Global Bank’s primary database servers at a data-center in Milan and connecting the secondary branch servers in Monrovia via satellite link which is still Africa’s most reliable networking solution. After consultation with other suppliers, Probanx were finally chosen for their flexibility, responsiveness and the suitability of the CorePlus system. This met all of Global Bank’s requirements in terms of performance, flexibility, reliability, resilience and low cost of ownership thanks to the functionality and scalability of CorePlus running on a Microsoft Windows XP/SQL Server 2000 platform.
